The Appalachian Trail
This 2,100 mile foot trail passes through here over Mt Everett. It was designated as the first Scenic National trail in 1968. The Trail stretches from Katadin in Maine to Springer Mountain in Georgia. Passing through some of the best forest land in the country, the Trail is strictly for hiking. It was conceived in 1921 by Benton McKaye. The Trail also passes over Mt Greylock and through the Housatonic Valley.
Mt Everett
The second highest peak in the state, it is surrounded by a 1,100-acre state reservation.
Bash Bish Falls
Located in Mount Washington State Forest it drops 80 feet into sparkling pool, making it the state’s most spectacular waterfall. It is named after an American Indian princess who is supposed to have jumped of the cliff above.

It offers spectacular views and 30 miles of trails. Ideal for camping and hiking. Bash Bish Falls is an ideal picnic spot.
