Profile

First settled by Dutch settlers, Egremont was incorporated as a town in 1775. A traditional farming community, most of the people here are involved in agriculture. It is increasingly becoming a favored destination for second homeowners. This town once had seven gas sta tions in the early 20th century but to day there are none. A multi-acre town park offers all recreation facilities. This is very quiet town with no nightlife.
